2010 SEMA Preview: RK Collection Toyota Camry NASCAR Edition

Article by Christian A., on October 29, 2010

Toyota announced that the new RK Collection Toyota Camry NASCAR Edition will make its official debut at the 2010 SEMA Show. The new car is a special-two door Camry developed by RK Collection (RKC), and was inspired by the inspiration of Rob Kauffman, founder of RKC and co-owner of the NASCAR team Michael Waltrip Racing.

As expected the car is powered by a TRD NASCAR V8 engine which measures 358 cubic inches and delivers a blistering 680 horsepower at 8500 rpm. The engine is mated to a Tremic T-56 Magnum six-speed manual transmission with a Ram dual-disc street clutch.

The car also features Camry modified Macpherson struts in the front and a Venza modified multi-link independent suspension in the rear, while shocks are coil over, single adjustable.

The exterior of the car is made by RKC, which installed several race car features such as custom body kit, Toyota grill, carbon fiber brake ducts with fog lights and TRD emblems. The design is completed by a new set of 20-inch TSW Jarama wheels wrapped in 245/35/20 Michelin Pilot tires in the front and 285/20/30 in the rear.

Also, the car features a custom three-inch exhaust with X-pipe, Thrush mufflers, Quicktime performance cut out, custom side exhaust tips and high temperature turbo Black coating by H.M. Elliot Inc.

Inside, we find custom leather-covered panels, a suede headliner with integrated rear tweeters, leather-covered power seats with custom TRD billet logos, a billet shifter and a dashboard with SPEK gauges by Proparts.
