Motocross legend Ricky Carmichael teamed up with Chevrolet and unveiled today the Colorado Performance Concept. Set to be officially unveiled tomorrow at the 2014 SEMA Show, the new concept features a unique matte gray exterior finish highlighted by the high-gloss silver and yellow accents, as well as a graphic of Carmichael’s signature.
In addition, the standard 17-inch Z71 aluminum wheels received yellow highlights and Goodyear Duratec off-road tires. Same theme is found at the interior, where we find yellow accents and Carmichael’s racing number 4 embroidered into the front seat headrests. Moreover, the interior features the Chevy MyLink with a built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as a standard rearview camera system.
Under the hood, there is a 3.6-liter V6 petrol engine developing 306 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The engine is bolted to a new concept performance exhaust system in order to deliver a proper sound.
Just like the standard version, the Colorado Performance Concept offers a 7,000-pound maximum trailering capacity with available heavy-duty trailering package, and a maximum payload capacity of 1,590 pounds.
