2014 SEMA Show: Jeep Renegade Frostbite is a true ride for any winter wonderland

Article by Christian A., on October 26, 2014

This weird-looking 2015 Jeep Renegade you see in the photos is called the Frostbite and will be unveiled at the 2014 SEMA Show. The vehicle is finished in white with blue accents on various areas of the exterior, while the blue wheels with a white outline continue the theme. Jeep’s Renegade Frostbite gets a blue grille and mirror caps as well as a special hood with Jeep Performance Parts graphics.

Moreover, the Renegade Frostbite gets a Mopar ski and snowboard roof rack, Jeep Performance Parts rock rail guard with the stamped Jeep logo and unique Jeep Performance Graphics for the rear. Same theme is continued at the interior where the crossover gets Katzkin pearl seats wrapped in aqua blue, just like the perimeter around the doors, gearshift and air vents.

We don’t have any details regarding any engine improvements, but we do know that the standard vehicle is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, producing 160 hp and 170 pounds-feet of torque, bolted to a six-speed manual transmission.

A more powerful 2.4-liter inline-four engine is available as well, delivering 184 hp and 177 pounds-feet of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Renegade Frostbite

The Jeep Renegade can be customized to suit any adventurous lifestyle, including those who feel the urge to hit the slopes when the first blast of wintry white stuff falls from the sky, as demonstrated by the Jeep Renegade Frostbite.

Reversing the color theme on the Jeep Renegade Riptide, the Frostbite is trimmed in white with blue accents on various exterior areas. Blue wheels with a white outline and a blue grille and mirror caps underline the overall color. The scheme continues inside the vehicle, with Katzkin pearl seats dressed in aqua blue. That same aqua blue hue also fills the perimeter around the doors, as well as the outline of the gearshift and vents.

Making the Jeep Renegade Frostbite a true ride for any winter wonderland is a Mopar ski/snowboard roof rack to help safely and securely transport cold-weather toys. The Frostbite also is equipped with a Jeep Performance Parts rock rail guard with stamped Jeep logo to defend against any rugged obstacles blocking the path to the ski lodge.

Adding additional visual elements, the Jeep Renegade Frostbite features unique hood and rear Jeep Performance Parts graphics, scheduled for future availability as Mopar accessories.
