IND Distribution showcases its own BMW M2 and M4 builds at 2016 SEMA Show

Chicago-based tuning shop IND Distribution would not let its expertise in tuning BMW cars go unnoticed as it joins the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leveraging its knowledge of BMW cars, IND is showcasing two elegantly stunning projects based on the new BMW M2 and the new BMW M4 Coupe.

According to IND, its M2 build was meant to complement the M4 Coupe while presenting some of its newly developed parts and components. In addition, the SEMA projects are also IND’s tribute to BMW’s factory-built racing program. In these new projects for the 2016 SEMA Show, IND teamed up with BBS and Rays Engineering/Advan to ensure that its versions of the new M2 and M4 Coupe successfully become a reality. Likewise, IND tapped the services of Brembo, Eventuri, Eisenmann, KW and RKP while infusing its own solutions to come with the most desirable setup for the SEMA show-bound M2 and M4 Coupe.

The M2 build makes use of the newly designed GT kit from Brembo. This kit enhances the braking system’s thermal capacity by employing a more rigid caliper, larger swept pad area and thicker brake disc. The build also features an air intake system from Eventuri that provides the signature Eventuri intake roar. This intake system is complemented by a prototype M2 exhaust system from Eisenmann that is designed to give off different audio tracks when the valve is opened or closed.

KW, on the other hand, supplied prototype ClubSport coilovers for the M2 build while RKP provided a number of exterior details not found on a typical M2. For instance, RKP furnished an M2-sized roof panel similar to the original M4 panel. The M2 build also comes with several visual tweaks like a carbon splitter and diffuser as well as rear wing. A trunk spoiler proportioned to the roof is also sourced from RKP. RKP also provided the M2 with GTS style front lip spoiler. IND’s M2 build rides on Advan RS-DF wheels (with size of 18 x 9.5) wrapped elegantly in Falken’s 275/35/18 tires.

Inside, IND’s M2 build features a rear closeout upholstered in Alcantara fabric, thereby separating the passenger area from the trunk. This build also features a Motorsport roll bar finished in Alpine White. Interestingly, the interior of IND’s M2 build is laden with details found in the BMW Performance catalog. In addition, this M2 build is specified with an M4 GTS steering wheel as well as shift paddles in Alpine White.

Earlier this year, IND built its own version of the M4 as part of its 10th anniversary celebration. Considered as one of the most heavily modified M4 models, IND’s M4 build has been further modified in preparation for the 2016 SEMA show.

For instance, the standard Yas Marina paint has been replaced with purple and the M4 build now rides on silver-colored, aftermarket wheels. IND’s M4 build now features carbon front and rear bumpers and new carbon splitter. Its Brembo brake calipers and discs have been upgraded and it now comes with KW coilover suspension. A full roll cage and fixed rear wing are also added.
