Chevrolet announced that at the 2014 SEMA Show it will bring the SS Sport Concept, an upgraded version of the well-known high-performance sedan that reflects its capabilities. Some of the unique features of this model include the Red Hot exterior with body-colored door handles and mirrors, new grills, fog lamp bezels, side fender vents and a rear spoiler from Chevrolet Accessories.
Moreover, there are new 20-inch wheels and stripes for the hood as well as deck lid from Chevrolet Accessories, as well as wheel caps featuring the Holden logo. Inside, we find a sport pedal kit and cargo net, floor mats and cargo tray with the Holden logo from Chevrolet Accessories.
Under the hood, there is the standard LS3 V8 engine that produces 415 hp (310 kW) and 563 Nm (415 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is bolted to a six-speed manual transmission, while as an option the manufacturer offers a six-speed, paddle-shift automatic gearbox.
Chevrolet offers as standard the Magnetic Ride Control on the 2015MY SS, which provides more precise body motion control. Behind the wheels there are new Brembo rear brakes that complement the front brakes also developed by Brembo.
Chevrolet SS is the perfect combination of good looks, premium details, and performance cues. Its staggered wheels are pushed out into its corners, thus enhancing its sporting and muscular stance.
Up front, the car's aluminum hood has a subtle "power bulge," which hints at the engine's capability. Meanwhile, its tapered and teardrop-shaped rear contributes to outstanding aerodynamic performance. The car also boasts premium cues like jewel-like chrome accents, LED daytime running lights, and high-intensity discharge headlamps.
Along its sides, the vehicle has a character line that extends from its hood to its trunk lid. This helps create a classic wedge form by accentuating the muscular sheet metal and planted appearance. The SS tapers at the rear, its C-pillar flowing into its deck lid. The car shares this particular design cue with other Chevrolet sedans.
In addition, the car has bright dual-exhaust tips that deliver a throaty note.
The Chevrolet SS allows you to choose from five exterior colors: Red Hot 2, Silver Ice Metallic, Heron White, Phantom Black, and Mystic Green Metallic.
Chevrolet SS comes with good looks that marry premium details with performance elements. Its muscular stance is made possible by its staggered front and rear wheels positioned far to the corners. Its propulsion muscle, meanwhile, is indicated by the subtle power bulge on its aluminum hood.
Its rear end, meanwhile, features a tapered tear-drop shape that helps enhance its aerodynamics. The new SS is also laden with a number of premium details like standard high-intensity discharge headlamps and LED daytime running lights as well as jewel-like chrome accents.
The flanks of the new Chevrolet SS are marked by a character line extending from the bonnet to the trunk lid, resulting to a wedge shape while accentuating the car’s planted stance and muscular sheet metal. Just like other Chevrolet sedans, the new SS tapers at the rear while its C-pillar flows into the deck lid. Completing the rear end and giving the SS a throaty sound are bright dual-exhaust tips.
Chevrolet is offering the new SS in five exterior colors: Heron White, Mystic Green Metallic, Phantom Black, Red Hot 2 and Silver Ice Metallic.
Inside, the new Chevy SS provides a roomy interior that could accommodate up to five adults in comfort, thanks to the fact that the cabin offers 42.3 inches (1,074 mm) of front legroom and 39.7 inches (1,008 mm) of rear legroom. As standard, the interior of the new SS is equipped with leather seating surfaces as well as eight-way power adjustable front bucket seats with extra side bolstering.
