SEMA: Ringbrothers Madam V hides a 2016 Cadillac ATS-V under its skin

Article by Christian A., on November 3, 2016

Custom car builder Ringbrothers is making a splash at the 2016 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas, Nevada, by unveiling three new creations derived from Chevrolet, Cadillac and Ford models. Ringbrothers is also displaying at the 2016 iteration of the famed SEMA show what it dubbed as the world’s fastest Winnebago. In addition, Jim and Mike Ring will be announcing something big with regards to their new partnership with Prestone Products Corp. at the 2016 SEMA show.

Ringbrothers’ three new builds to be shown at the 2016 SEMA Show include the 1948 Cadillac Series V fastback named “Madam V,” a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro dubbed “G-Code,” and a 1965 wide-body Mustang convertible called “Ballistic.”

Ringbrothers called Madam V – a customized model built for Wes Rydell and his wife Vivian -- a monumental feat of engineering. It is basically a fusion of vintage and modern Cadillac, employing a customized steel body of the 1948 Cadillac as well as two new 2016 Cadillac ATS-V units. Madam V is displayed at the booth of muffler maker Flowmaster (#22351) in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.

Meanwhile, G-Code is the second 1969 Camaro customization that the Ringbrothers has built. G-Code features thoroughly reworked lines of the second generation Camaro as well as a number of aerodynamic add-ons that allows it to stand out from the rest. As seen in the Royal Purple booth (#23057) in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, G-Code is powered by a Wegner Whipple supercharged LS3, which makes it the most powerful and fastest Chevrolet car that the Rings has built.

On the other hand, Ballistic is the Ringbrothers’ first project that involved a convertible Mustang. Ballistic features a widebody conversion and is powered by a supercharged 5.8 liter Ford V8 engine found on a late Mustang GT500. Wrapped in BASF Glasurit custom color “Blu by U, Ballistic is a result of countless hours of body work and is the first car to be unveiled in the Ringbrothers booth (#23283).

Prestone’s booth (#30327) in the Upper South Hall of the of the Las Vegas Convention Center will play host to the 1972 “Happy Camper” Winnebago Brave. Ringbrothers boasts of the Happy Camper as the fastest Winnebago in the world, which is pretty justifiable as it is powered by an engine that provided 900 hp of overwhelming output. Its part-finished cabin is inspired by World War II bombers and a tiki lounge. Lastly, Ringbrothers and Prestone will have joint announcement in the Prestone booth, which will also preview a build project by the partners.
