After we saw the Lexus IS C F-Sport by TRD, another tuner has decided to bring to us another customized IS C for the SEMA Show. VIP Auto Salon, an aftermarket parts manufacturer, and the Japanese car enthusiast website JTuned worked on the car that they now call the Matador Red IS C. Before this announcement, a report about Fox Marketing's bright green top IS C had come out.
VIP Auto Salon and JTuned delivered a unique version. What sets it apart from the rest of the crowd of Lexus IS convertibles at the show will be a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber trunk spoiler, high performance exhaust and a set of custom wheels and tires to round out the tuner transformation.
Those who are interested to purchase one of these Matador Red IS Cs must be able to dish out about $15,000 on top of the sticker price. The delivery will actually be made a month and a half later due to the intricacy of the labor for this vehicle.

The new exterior design of the IS 250C and IS 350C are unmistakably that of the IS sedan, but boasts of a dynamic styling that includes distinct traits that distinguishes the convertible from the coupe configuration. All body panels – save for the hood – received a redesign to allow them to blend smoothly with the three-panel folding roof.
The profile of the Lexus IS convertible is marked by convex shoulder lines, with the top-up configuration featuring a sweeping cabin silhouette. In top-down configuration, the belt-line flows around the rear deck lid to the give the convertible a more muscular appearance. Up front, the lines of the hood run into the distinctly shaped chrome grille, and flows down into an air inlet before running outward through the elliptical fog lamps.
At the rear, the Lexus IS convertible boasts of clean, continuous design, marked by flowing bumper corners as well as a strong bumper shape flowing inwards to the exhaust. The rear end employs new combination LED tail-lamp clusters and two horizontal lines that help highlight the convertible’s width. The LED brake light is now integrated within the standard rear spoiler.
The Lexus IS convertible is available with any of two distinctive wheels. As standard, the convertible rides on 17-inch wheels with two multi-layered five-spoke patterns, resulting to a modern 10-spoke design in liquid-graphite finish.
Optionally available are 18-inch rims with five-spoke design in liquid-graphite finish. Both wheels come with the tire-pressure warning system fitted on the IS sedan. The wheels are shod with all-season tires as standard, but can be wrapped with optional run-flat tires available either with or without a spare.
