Subaru is presenting its latest modification – the Subaru Impreza WRX SPT. This version of the Impreza WRX demonstrates the customization possibilities when using parts from the Subaru Genuine Accessory and SPT catalogs.
Subaru browsed through the available parts in both catalogs and managed to come up with a modification package that boasts of a superb blend of performance, styling and user technology.
All of Subaru efforts resulted to the creation of the Subaru Impreza WRX SPT – a car with its own style and performance capabilities that stays true to WRX’s vaunted value and drivability.
Since the 2009 Impreza WRX already features a standard factory Aero Body Kit, Subaru only fitted a front lip spoiler by STI as well as Subaru genuine Accessory fog light protectors.
Moreover, Subaru also lowered the stance of the Impreza WRX by installing STI performance springs and Botticelli III 19 x 8-inch wheels from OZ Racing, as well as a lower chassis brace and strut tower brace from the SPT catalog.
For a more thrilling performance, the WRX’s 2.5-liter intercooled turbo Boxer engine was tuned to increase its max output from 265 hp to 275 hp and peak torque from 244 lb.-ft. to 250 lb.-ft., thanks to the addition of a SPT cat-back exhaust.
Furthermore, the Subaru Impreza WRX SPT is fitted with an STI short-throw shifter as well as a turbo heat shield, battery hold-down and an SPT oil cap. Of course, since these parts are available from the Subaru Genuine Accessory and SPT catalogs, any customer could easily duplicate the Subaru Impreza WRX SPT.
