Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2009

Offering the ultimate in convenience is Honda Motor Co. Ltd's all-new Step WGN that was recently introduced. Compared to the others in its class, the Step WGN has the largest interior space and has the best under-floor storage for third-row seats. The new model also has the best fuel economy in its class.

In Japan, the new Step WGN and Step WGN special-needs vehicle are already available. Meanwhile, the Step WGN Spada and Step WGN Spada special-needs vehicle will debut on October 23.

Featured on this all-new fourth generation Step WGN is Honda's original low-floor, low-center-of-gravity platform, which was designed to be the most comfortable minivan transportation for the entire family.

It has a class-leading fuel economy of 14.2km/L mainly due to Honda's combination of a 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine and torque converter-equipped CVT3. Honda didn't stop with the engine in improving fuel economy.

Also featured are the ECON mode, which regulates the engine and transmission to help conserve fuel; and Eco Assist, which has multiple functions that encourage fuel-efficient driving including a guidance function that gives the driver real-time feedback on the fuel-efficiency of the driving practices.
