Tokyo Preview: Nissan Roox

Amazingly, the Nissan ROOX is considered as a "super space" minicar, basically because it offers a roomy interior that comes with clever packaging to allow its occupants to enjoy their active lifestyles. Its spaciousness is best in the class, with interior measurements of 1365 mm in width and 2085 mm in length.

This is large enough for its passengers to sit comfortably. Making things even better is being able to rearrange the cabin seating according to the number of occupants. Moreover, the back of the rear seat can be flattened to have a larger luggage space.

On the outside, the Nissan ROOX features sportier dynamic lines that accentuate its already aggressive yet bold form. Additionally, Nissan ROOX comes with a chrome grille and a sharp headlight design. Rear passengers benefit from rear sliding doors on both sides of the vehicle, allowing easier and safer ingress and egress.

It also comes with a drink cooler inside the upper glove box of the passenger seat as well as a storage box under. In terms of safety features, the Nissan ROOX is fitted with dual airbags and front SRS side airbags. With these features and elements, the Nissan ROOX minicar is perfect for those looking for a mobile unit smaller than a small car.

Since the Nissan ROOX is a low mileage minicar, it qualifies for the eco-car tax subsidy. Nissan will unveil the ROOX at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show and commence its sales in December.
