2008 Bmw X6 by Hamann

Article by Christian A., on August 26, 2008

Hamann also breaks the 250 km/h (155 mph) limit and permits a remarkable speed of 275 km/h (170 mph). The Diesel model is provided with excess power. After re-programming the serial motronics, the xDrive30d generates 265 hp / 195 kW and brings a ceiling torque of 600 Nm to the crankshaft. The motor version xDrive35d converts into an enormously powerful sprinter as well.

The engineers from Laupheim were able to squeeze 320 hp / 235 kW and a sensational torque of 660 Nm at 2,000 rpm out of the self-igniting engine (as you can see Hamann X6 has better performances comparing it to the AC Schnitzer X6 Falcon ). Furthermore, the sport mufflers by Hamann-Motorsport are adaptable to the many different performance kits. The product variations do not only provide a double-pipe, but also a four-pipe system which generates a sonorous and earthy sound.

The unique Hamann auto body program generates a maximum airflow over the car silhouette. The body kit is composed of a sportive and vigorous front skirt with incorporated LED daytime running lights, a tripartite rear casing and a beautiful roof spoiler. For more output on the rear axle, the customer can either decide on a small restrained or large and prominent rear spoiler.

According to customer requirements, the BMW specialist can also replace the serial bonnet with an ultra-light carbon model. Single- or multi-part, sportive and striking or elegant and noble - Hamann provides a wide variety of wheel designs in varying sizes.

The final rim is a 23-inch variant called Design Edition Race Anonized for the X6 wheel arches. The super-light forged wheel merges power with elegance. The black varnished rim star and the titanium bolting both highlight the dynamics of the wheel. The highly polished rim flange on the other hand implies a dignified look. Hamann provides the 23-inch wheel with tires measuring 315/25R23 beginning at $11,860.

The new aluminum wheels with special running gear springs are ideally put into focus. Thus, progressively coiled springs lower the SUV's center of gravity by a maximum of 40 mm at both the front-and rear axles.

Besides the consisting serial interior equipment, Hamann also provides accessories made of high-quality aluminum. Pedals and foot rests bring motorsports flair and ideally match the 12-part Hamann decoration set made of carbon fibre. An instrument dial with a scaling up to 300 km/h (186 mph) and a three-spoke sport steering wheel generate an additional dynamic general impression.
