WheelsAndMore has done it again. Aside from customizing multi-piece special lightweight wheels, WheelsAndMore could also make a car more dynamic in terms of road performance. This is shown on one of the company’s latest works, a performance-enhanced version of the already powerful Ferrari 488 Spider.
As it is typically, the Ferrari 488 Spider isn’t your ordinary roadster. Any car produced by Ferrari reigns supreme, especially in the area of performance. The Ferrari 488 Spider isn’t an exception.
Its beautifully and elegantly design exterior faithfully reveals how crazy is the Ferrari 488 Spider in terms of power. It is quite important to mention that the 488 Spider is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that could deliver 670 PS (661 hp) of max output at 8,000 rpm and 760 Nm (561 lb.-ft.) of peak torque available at 6,750 rpm. With this amount of power at its disposal, the Ferrari 488 Spider could accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds and to 200 km/h (0 to 124 mph) in around 8.7 seconds. As far as top speed is concerned, the Ferrari 488 Spider could go as fast 325 km/h (203 mph).
But for WheelsAndMore, delivering 670 PS (661 hp) and 760 Nm (561 lb.-ft.) might not be enough. That is why it came up with the new Ferrari 488 GTS Triple Seven. As expcted, WheelsAndMore settled for nothing less and implemented its Stage III performance upgrade on the Ferrari 488 Spider. With this upgrade, WheelsAndMore was able to make 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine more powerful, now delivering 777 PS (766 hp) of max output and 895 Nm (660 lb.-ft.) of peak torque.
This tuning -- dubbed by WheelsAndMore as Triple-Seven Modification (after the output) – includes software upgrade, installation of exhaust system with valve flaps, fitment of catalytic replacement tubes and the addition of heat protection covers and F1 air filter-kit. Stage I and Stage II upgrades are also available, each resulting to a more powerful version of the Ferrari 488 Spider.
Of course, WheelsAndMore’s specialty is wheels, so this new Ferrari 488 Spider is fitted with a set of light rims – in colors specified by customers -- measuring 9.0 x 21 inches on the front and 12.0 x 21 inches on the rear. These wheels are wrapped in 255/30 tires on the front and in 325/25 rubber on the rear. Customers could choose from five different sets of wheels for the Ferrari 488 GTS Triple Seven.
These upgrades are also applicable on the Ferrari 488 GTB, which should make it as powerful as the new Ferrari 488 GTS Triple Seven.
