For its sleek yet subtle package combined with luxury and performance, the Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe is a car that needs no introduction. Fostla however thinks that there is a much better way to step out and make an entirely new statement. Something bold that is. In this regard, the German car tuner has not only covered the luxury two-door coupe in bright Matte Chrome Orange but also raised the engine output from 577hp (430kW) to 730hp (544kW).
The bright orange body wrap is a combination of metallic and matte finish that produces a certain shimmer while under the sun. To add more oomph to this eye popping color, Fostla has dressed up the AMG S63 with the Prior Design’s wide body kit while a new set of 15-spoke wheels in an anthracite finish bring out the coupe’s more menacing look.
Prior Design is notoriously known for its wide body kits which includes custom side skirts, side sills, fenders, bumpers, spoilers and so on. The new wheel set on the other hand consists of a lowering module and is also the secret to this Mercedes’ more aggressive stance.
When it comes to power, Fostla has further enhanced this orange AMG S63’s 5.5 liter biturbo V8 with PP-Performance’s tuning package. Under its magic, the 577 horsepower on the stock engine has turned into a 730 hp monster.
In spite of coming up with an improved engine performance and wider body, surprisingly, the tuner from Germany hasn’t changed any of the coupe’s interior. For those who want to customize the cabin’s standard upholstery finish, Vilner is probably the most trusted name to call especially for something as flashy as this orange. Vilner is offering customized interior for the S63 sedan by blending Alcantra fabric with leather.
In line with this, Mercedes is throwing in some new versions of the current S-Class range beginning with the sedan. Leaked images show there are resemblances between the Coupe and the Cabriolet as well. In addition, the S-Class model’s 5.5 liter V8 has now been replaced with the new 4.0 liter biturbo engine. This new V8 power unit provides an increased output of up to 603hp (450kW) while its 9-speed automatic transmission is responsible for its 3.4-second acceleration.
The "refresh" is basically minor which will almost go unnoticed unless one would take a much closer look. In its entirety, the most significant change is seen on the interior’s high resolution wide screen monitor that stretches all the way to the dashboard.
