RevoZport reveals VW Golf VII Razor 7E kit based on e-Golf

Does your 2017 VW e-Golf need a new styling treatment? Wait till you see what RevoZport has to offer. The Volkswagen Golf VII Razor 7E for e-Golf by RevoZport is now up for grabs. The new conversion kit comes with an aerodynamically enhanced RevoZport styling package specifically made for the VW e-Golf. This is offered with a new GT roof spoiler along with its newly designed rear diffuser, side skirts, dive planes and front splitter. Each component is made with carbon fiber as the design pays tribute to the world’s first ePrix car challenge held last year at the circuit of Formula E in Hong Kong.

Volkswagen’s show car comes in a clean white body paint with matching blue accents during the event. There are tinges of blue on VW e-Golf’s electric powertrain as well as on the headlights, front grille, roof spoiler, rear diffuser, front spoiler and side skirts.

It is of course an honour for RevoZport to become part of such major event. As the official supplier of aerodynamic kits for the e-Prix Car Challenge, they have been able to develop the first aerodynamics package specially designed for the VW e-Gold. That is to say, the “Razor7 E” provides the additional downforce required for the challenge.

The e-Golf race event held last year consists of 16 brand new VW e-Golfs which have been specifically modified based on Formula Racing Technology. This comes with a roll cage, an FRD specified racing seat with 6-point harness, a newly upgraded suspension, brake, racing wheels, rims and also a fire extinguisher that meets the safety standards for racing.

The previous motorsport event has allotted two sessions for practices before the 15-minute qualifying and 20-minute races. Both were held at Hong Kong’s Formula E circuit last October. Before the event, the organizers invited 10 veteran drivers and five experienced drivers with celebrity status to take part in the competition.

While almost all VW Golf MK7 could be considered as popular among aftermarket specialists, a tuning package for the VW e- Golf is quite unheard of. By default, the Volkswagen Golf E’s peak power stands at 85kW(115PS) with up to 270 Nm of torque. RevoZport's retuned e-Golf now packs 100kW(136hp) with a maximum torque output of 290Nm. Its lithium ion battery cells have been raised from 25 Ah to 37 Ah. The RevoZport Razor 7 conversion kits are also available for the Golf VII GTi and the Golf VII R.
