The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is entering an all-generation in the 2019 model year. Renowned German tuner Brabus is giving the current generation 2018 G-Class a fitting goodbye with the new Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition. Safe to say, it is the final boss for the current G-Class with lots of power within.
Based on the Mercedes-Benz G 63 of the W 463 model series, the Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition preaches it monstrous capability with a number of exclusive features. For instance, the exterior of the new super SUV is marked by the carbon BRABUS roof spoiler above the windshield. This spoiler comes fitted with daytime running lights, both on its left and right sections.
Complementing its 9.5 J x 22 wheels – which are shod with 325/55 R 18 Pirelli Scorpion ATR off-road tires – are massive carbon fender flares.
Inside, Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition boasts of two-tone black/light brown leather interior, although customers can have the cabin be personalized according to their own preferences, using a BRABUS fine leather in desired color and upholstery design. Customers may also opt for noble woods and carbon elements in any color or grain. Likewise, special power-retractable steps are available for easier ingress and egress.
The main highlight of the Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition is its performance. As it monikers indicates, it delivers around 700 hp (515 kW or 690 bhp) of max output, as made possible by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine fitted with a BRABUS performance upgrade. This mill delivers 960 Nm (708 lb.-ft.) of peak torque – as sent to the wheels through a SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission -- allowing the special edition to accelerate from nil to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.0 seconds. But since it rides on all-out off-road tires, its top speed is electronically limited to 210 km/h (130 mph).
To support this performance on and off the road, the Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition adopts the portal axles of the Mercedes G 500 4x4². Along with the electronically adjustable BRABUS special suspension, this axle system allows for 60 cm of high ground clearance as well as maximum articulation of both the front and rear axles.
Furthermore, to make the Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition more suitable for the off road, it is fitted with robust skid plate elements that help protect its engine, driveline and fuel tank from damages.
As it name indicates, Brabus 700 4x4² "one of ten" Final Edition is only available in 10 examples, available in either white or black. It has a starting price of EUR209,000 (export price excluding VAT).
