Spotted: BMW 7 Series with 22-inch Forgiato Quattresimo wheels

Some car enthusiasts may simply opt for BMW’s standard list of rim options while others go for something bolder. By bolder, we mean those rims that you’d typically find on big SUVs and low-slung sports coupes. As an example, consider this BMW 7-Series (G11) fitted with an over-the-top Quattresimo set of wheels.

As you can see on this black BMW, it has Forgiato’s 22-inch forged aluminum rims in gold finish. This particular design is from the Quattresimo collection, which is made of aircraft grade materials and can be availed in various forging options such as the convex, step lip or concave among many others.

In case you’re wondering, Forgiato’s team hails from Los Angeles California. It is also where they continue to produce and manufacture their excellent products. Still, the Italian sounding name is just as tasty as their wide array of colours and designs.

Moreover, the wheel company offers a lot of choices when it comes to the customization of its finishing ----- whether it’s the one you can see here with black spoke with gold lip that looks perfect with the gold grille. Or, it could be done in brushed or carbon finish depending what suits you.

But if you have a choice, we say, why not go for gold? According to their website, the gold standard is “a monetary standard” in which the basic unit of currency is defined by the amount of gold, which is oftentimes represented by the exchange of gold or penny. In fact, in Egyptian culture, gold was believed to be a “divine metal”. We all still see gold as the symbol of luxury and fortune. Okay, that sounds like a lecture from your history class. ‘nuff said.

Anyhow, we think this one is a superb choice given that this particular BMW is totally black without any hint of chrome whatsoever. The gold instead has added an interesting twist to the old boring black. If you agree that gold and black is the colour combo of the year, then there’s every reason to try it. Unless, of course, you don’t want to call too much attention.

Some would think that the combination of gold and black reminds them of the Lexus back in the ‘90s. So if you’re in the mood for throwbacks, well, this is the one! Nevertheless, this Forgiato Quattresimo is a sight to behold although it may not be as sporty as the M Performance or as classy as those of Alpina’s collection. Besides, how many BMW 7 Series out there do you think could pull off this style?
