BMW X6 with M Performance upgrades, AC Schnitzer body kit and a whole lot more

Article by Christian A., on January 23, 2017

It is a undisputed that the BMW X6 M is already one of the most daring-looking SUV coupes in the market but it doesn’t mean there’s no more room for improvement.

Apparently, a BMW X6 M has just received a serious makeover. It comes from none other than the BMW dealership in Abu Dhabi. Yes, these guys are back and they’ve just created another extraordinary rolling machine.

To be exact, their latest makeover project is based on a BMW X6 xDrive50i. Since it is unclear if they had upgraded its engine, maybe we’ll just take it from there. A BMW X6 xDrive50i comes with a 4.4-litre V8 stock engine. If they didn’t touch anything under the hood, then what we have here is the same BMW with 455 hp that runs up to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds.

As always, the UAE-based tuner got the parts from different sources. Aside from the already handsome M Performance specs, the series of upgrades includes aerokits from 3D Design, a new set of AC Schnitzer wheels with an Akrapovic evolution exhaust system to match. The Falcon wide body kit is also from AC Schnitzer by the way. Let’s see it up close.

The mid-size luxury crossover’s M Performance package comes with an all-black finish for the fender vents, side stripes and kidney grille. This package also includes the car’s carbon fiber mirrors. Among 3D Design’s aerodynamics package are the new boot lid spoiler, rear diffuser, side skirts and a more aggressive spoiler for the front. Each piece goes perfectly with the car’s 23-inch AC1 forged high performance wheels from Schnitzer as well as with the BMW X6’s very powerful exhaust by Akrapovic Evolution.

So there. The SUV coupe’s outstanding modifications aren’t only concentrated on its exterior. As you can see in the photo, the cabin is also dressed up to the highest degree of sophistication. BMW Abu Dhabi’s BMW X6 M is equipped with red leather seats, red armrests and red door panels. The leather wrapped console and lower dash are also in red with stitching that basically has the same color as the upholstery.

Overall, the rest of the features are just as impressive inside and out. But if there is anything in this X6 that caught most of our attention, it would be AC Schnitzer’s outrageous body kit. The tuning package not only highlights the vehicle’s aggressive character and sporty identity, but it also makes the compact SUV’s luxurious appeal stand out even more.
