G-Power offers new Hurricane RR wheels for BMW M and Mercedes-AMG

Doing more than just tuning shiny new cars, G-Power rolls out with a new line of Hurricane RR wheels for certain BMW M and Mercedes-AMG models. The new set of Hurricanes come in 23-inch, 22-inch and 21-inch wheel sizes. Unlike most conventional aluminum wheels, the Hurricane forged wheels are predominantly more lightweight because of the higher strength forged aluminum material.

According to the German-tuning specialist, the Hurricane’s lower mass, lightweight components will improve road traction to give the driver a better control of the vehicle. Since road traction performs an important role in driving, it also means there will be lesser weight transfer towards the outer wheel when taking corners.

Nevertheless, the G-Power Hurricane wheels are made with T6 6061 aluminum grade material. The T6 is a heat-treatment technology that spreads the “forces” within the aluminum to restore the characteristics of the alloy wheels. In fact, these strong yet lightweight alloys that come out of their CNC-Controlled milling machine are similar to those being used in aerospace industry.

The CNC vertical milling machine uses the most advanced clamping device to significantly reduce vibration. That way, customers get the perfect wheel design as well as high quality aluminum. Apart from the fact that this type of wheels offers better road traction and improved handling that prevent vehicles from unintentionally drifting while steering.

The wheel model is designed using a 3D simulation software and is enhanced by FEM-analyses to generate the best possible outcome. Through this process, customers can get a good grasp of the technical details which will contribute to the product’s final appearance and performance.

In engineering, the 3D wheel model goes through several stress, tension and deformation assessments. This carefully calculated procedure eliminates all critical load peaks to ensure high quality product and safety. As a result of this extreme and elaborate production measure, it is of no doubt that the G-Power Hurricane Wheels have been certified under ISO 9001:2008.

Furthermore, the new Hurricane wheels for the BMW M and Mercedes-AMG are totally new designs. That’s because G-Power is practically replacing the Silver Stone Diamond wheels with the more technologically advanced Hurricane.

According to the auto-tuner, the Hurricane forged wheels come in 6 different designs and is the most individual aluminum wheels they have ever produced. Just the same, each G-Power Wheel is finished with the so-called “troalisation” technology, an industrial quality polishing technique which provides a sophisticated, durable and long lasting finish.
