The program for the Porsche Cayenne has been expanded yet again by LUMMA Design. The program’s diversity is emphasized with the introduction of three vehicles that are already done and have been custom-tuned according to the customer’s preferences. Lumma Design has established new standards in terms of comfort, elegance, dynamics, and sportiness.
LUMMA Design workshop may be small but it demonstrates its outstanding abilities and has proven its adage: ‘First Class in Design, Execution and Power'. The S Hybrid got a power boost to 450 BHP, the base for the special "orange metallic" painted LUMMA Cayenne. From the rear, all that we can see is its striking centrally positioned three-tube system.
These components are incorporated on the exterior with the use of visible carbon fibre, together with the LUMMA Racing 3 9.5 x 20-inch forged wheels, which were sprayed in the same color as the car body. It reinforces this completely tuned vehicle's claim to offering complete exclusivity. The sporty CLR 1 hood has also been built totally from carbon and sprayed in the same color as the car body.
The famous "Made in Germany" hand-craftsmanship is apparent in its interior, which was refitted to be built totally from leather and Alcantara. It also included a carpeted floor and headlining. The model is very exclusive with an embroidered LUMMA coat of arms logo and aluminum pedals and carpet mats that have genuine leather trims. The front has also been considerably revised.
The sporty looking CLR 2 hood comes with a "checkered flag" carbon design that was built using carbon. It also features a rear roof spoiler, a 4-tube sports exhaust system with 2 x 90 mm tailpipes to both sides, and a 22" CLR set of alloy wheels.
The interior fittings are fully carbon. The vehicle also uses aluminum pedals, red instruments, and an application of leather trimming. LUMMA Design is meticulous when it comes to details. The seat belts noticeably use the same color as the body.
The new Porsche Cayenne is more spacious inside, more efficient, more dynamic, and lighter overall. The new generation Cayenne is now more Porsche than ever.
Led by the carmaker’s first production car with hybrid drive, the Cayenne S Hybrid, this new generation of models leads the way when it comes to modern efficiency, thanks to 23% less fuel consumption compared to earlier models.
Additionally, like every Porsche vehicle, the new Cayenne was developed following the Porsche Intelligent Performance principle of more power on lesser fuel, of lower CO2 emissions, and of greater efficiency.
Three out of five Cayenne models remain below the New European Driving Cycle’s 10-liter fuel consumption limit per 100 km. Two models in the Cayenne range, the S Hybrid at 193 g/km and the Diesel at 195 g/km, also remain below the 200-grams-of-CO2-per-km emission limit.
This significant fuel consumption reduction in the Porsche Cayenne models is a result of Porsche's new 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission with Auto Start Stop, wider gear increments range, thermal management on its engine and on its transmission cooling circuit, variable overrun cut-off, recuperation of on-board network, consistent weight reduction, and intelligent lightweight construction.
