McLaren Mercedes’ title sponsorship agreement with Vodafone has been extended until 2013. This basically means that the carmaker’s financial future is secured for the next 3 years.
Aside from remaining as the title sponsor, Vodafone will also become total communications partner of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.
They had only been mobile partners until this deal came. Vodafone, a UK-based global telecommunications company, will be partnering with Mercedes for this program.
It was in 2007 that the organizations have joined hands back in 2007, the year when 2-time world champion Fernando Alonso was partnered with high-profiled rising star Lewis Hamilton in McLaren's lineup.
Morten Lundal, Group Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone, said that Vodafone is an “international brand with strong local roots.”
For example, Formula 1 has a strong platform that the company can engage our customers with unique experiences and events. He added that the company had much success in using the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes partnership to its customers in its key markets.
He also emphasized the company’s commitment to “new and exciting platforms which will allow customers to get even closer to the action.”
