Mercedes-Benz SL500 by Lorinser

Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2010

The Mercedes SL reputation for being both an extremely refined and an equally captivating vehicle has long been alive and can be traced back all the way to the fifties. A recent enhancement by its creators has strengthened this reputation even more. This star sports vehicle has reclaimed its rightful place at the top thanks to the handiwork of Sport service Lorinser.

The prestigious vehicle customizer hailing originally from Swabia has added aerodynamic parts to the car's body which have made it remarkably similar in features to the racing vehicles of days gone by. The first thing to catch the eye is the newly installed spoiler bumper. It boasts three large openings fitted with racing grill inserts, in addition to a spoiler similar in shape to a blade, hanging below the center of the bumper.

The outwardly expanding fender includes a beautifully flowing lip extending from one end to the other. Something sure to bring the original model to mind, rather than the most recent series, are the characteristic air inlets. The side lines show additional unique elements which are the newly added side skirts, also including the characteristic air openings towards the rear.

The vehicle's graceful contours make it visually appealing as they accommodate the flowing doors and together with the lowering effect of Lorinser, make the SL appear closer to the ground. The car's unique design and characteristics make extreme driving situations an easy matter to deal with, no matter what curves or bends the road may contain. Adding to the enjoyable driving experience provided by this car are its wide tires and incredibly light wheels, thanks to the alloy they´re made of.

The design of the RS 9 wheel adds to the overall feel of the vehicle and matches the design on the back of the car. While seemingly simple, the spoiler bumper created by Lorinser possesses a large amount of strength and stamina thanks to its sturdy and powerful contours. An observant and tasteful eye is likely to be drawn to the highly artistic features of the car which compliment its practical ones.

Providing a powerful push forward is the highly powerful and efficient exhaust system allowing this sports car to nearly fly forward, if its driver desires. If drivers are still not completely swayed by the series' engines, they may be satisfied by upcoming modifications to be done by the Lorinser engineers. Best to keep in mind though that an elegantly designed sports car, inside and out, can already be obtained, there.
