Lamborghini’s 2013 Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster is considered as one of the most powerful and exciting drop-top sports car in the world. NOVITEC TORADO, which is the NOVITEC GROUP’s business division that specializes in exclusively refining vehicles from Sant’Agata Bolognese, presents a wide range of different customization options that make the open two-seater more dynamic and extravagant than it already is.
The appearance upgrades done by NOVITEC TORADO include a carbon fiber body that is both aerodynamically efficient and styled strikingly. It also includes high-tech tailor-made and staggered 20-inch or 210-inch forged wheels. The coil-over sports suspension made by NOVITEC TORADO is specifically designed for the tire/wheel combination of the 2013 Aventador. The tuning done by NOVITEC TORADO allows the power of the 12-cylinder engine of the 2013 Aventador to be increased to 728 horsepower.
This is made possible through a high-performance exhaust system that has an active electronic sound management that makes more spectacular the sound of the engine at merely the push of a button. There are also exclusive options made available that complete this product lineup. The NOVITEC Group has long been known to specialize in making sports cars a lot more exciting. The body enhancement program done to the 2013 Aventador is further expanded with parts that are adapted to a roadster version.
This results in a combination that has maximum aerodynamic efficiency and spectacular look, confirmed through wind tunnel tests. All styling components done by NOVITEC TORADO is made of carbon fiber. These are all available in a glossy or matt finish. It can also come in a version that can be painted in the same color as the car or in a contrasting color for that matter. The face of the Lamborghini model also underwent extensive upgrades from NOVITEC TORADO.
From what was merely a front bumper, it has now been upgraded by NOVITEC TORADO with a two-piece front spoiler, one on the left and another on the right, redesigned air intakes, and a central blade. The front was further modified with the trunk lid redesigned to integrate air ducts, and the air extractors found in the front of the car’s windshield has also been redesigned. Wind tunnel tests have shown that the handling stability is optimized at high speeds since the negative lift on its front axle is reduced.
The sides of the 2013 Aventador have carbon-fiber mirror housings and rocker panels from NOVITEC TORADO giving it a newer and unique profile. The NOVITEC TORADO rear wing is present not just because it enhances the aerodynamics but it also plays an important part in giving the Lamborghini its extremely sporty appearance. To make sure that the engine bay vents, the rear wing of the 2013 Aventador is raised through a NOVITEC CANTRONIC control unit when running under a 180 km/h speed.
The aerodynamic-enhancement concept also has a special diffuser for its rear bumper that can be made to expand to the very efficient double diffuser. The appearance package of the NOVITEC TORADO for all the Aventador models, be it the roadster or coupe, also includes forged wheels. It uses a 3-piece NL1 alloy that can fill the available space perfectly of the wheel arches and has a delicate design that features 5 double spokes.
The wedge-shape appearance of the 2013 Aventador Roadster is emphasized further through the staggered diameters of both the rear and front axles. Optimal traction is given to the rear axle through 355/25 ZR 21 tires placed on 13Jx21 rims. The front axle meanwhile has 9Jx20 wheels that utilize 255/30 ZR 20 high-performance tries of Pirelli P-Zero. The NOVITEC TORADO sports suspension of the roadster is height adjustable and was developed in partnership with KW automotive.
Aside from the extensive road test already done, the KW-7 post shaker rig of the Toyota Formula 1 team was used in developing it as well. This simulates a wide range of roads and different sequences of turns. The results of the test are used by engineers to develop a sportier car but with safer suspension setup. NOVITEC TORADO in addition offers sports springs that can lower the ride height by around 30 mm.
