OK-Chiptuning is offering two-faced 2013 Skoda Superb

Article by Anita Panait, on October 3, 2013

The face-lifted 2013 Skoda Superb, as the top model of the Czech carmaker, is already a wonderful vehicle to begin win. Now, Neukirchen-Vluyn-based tuning company OK-Chiptuning has made the estate wagon even more terrific. Experts at OK-Chiptuning utilized their tuning expertise to offer a package that is not only superb inside but also fabulous.

OK-Chiptuning first focused its attention on the engine that powers the 2013 Skoda Superb – by electronically boosting its performance. The estate’s 2.0 liters TDI, on standard, provides only up to 170 PS of output and up to 350 Nm torque.

With OK-Chiptuning’s surgical intervention into the engine electronics, the powerplant now provides 210 PS of output and up to 435 Nm of torque – all at a cost of just EUR650.

Customers could also opt to adapt the DSG transmission performance software to optimize torque for another EUR200 – but is also available for Skoda Superb installed with automatic gearbox.

Customers could also have the suspension of their vehicles optimized by H&R coilovers for additional EUR1,145 (excluding mounting) and a stabilizer kit for EUR485 excluding mounting).

OK-Chiptuning’s Superb rides on Audi A6 (4G) steel rims in 8,5x20 ET45 wrapped in Z-Nero in 235/35ZR20 from Pirelli. While these upgrades are not easily recognizable, it is another story for the 2013 Skoda Superb’s exterior looks.

OK-Chiptuning tapped experts from Cam Shaft to take care of the vehicle’s foil wrapping. Indeed, the results didn’t fail to impress as the already face-lifted Superb now sports a two-faced look – finished in space-dominating muted gray on the right and attention-craving red on the left. This color combo has created an impression of a two-faced Skoda Superb.

It is evident with the first look - the all-new Superb injects new life to the upper mid-sized range. The car has a totally fresh front and rear end as well as a crisp interior. Its designers have given the Superb an appealing and bespoke suit.

The brand's design language is evident in the alluring components in the best-selling Škoda model. With its precise lines, premium quality and adjusted proportions, the car typifies sophistication and a domineering presence. The front end has been totally overhauled up to the A-pillars. The radiator grille, bumper, vehicle logo, front fender, front headlights and fog lights, and bonnet are all new.

Brand-new Škoda logo is now set prominently in the center of the bonnet, which is slightly slanted downward. The totally remodelled front headlights deliver the distinctively expressive character of the all-new Superb 'face'. For the first time, the Superb now incorporates bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED turning signals.

The rear of the car has likewise been totally revamped. The new rear end is clear, spotless and exact; everything is in its rightful place. The contour of the lights has been reconstructed; the C-state of the rear taillights radiates significantly more brilliant than ever before.

For the first time in the Škoda Superb, three light strips comprise the C-shaped rear lights that are a trademark of the brand, with LEDs offered as standard. Two new cubist triangles beneath the boot cover are additional distinctive components of the all-new Škoda design - in the sheet metal itself in the Combi and in the shape of the rear taillights in the limousine.
