Techart upgrades the 2013 Porsche Boxster

If you want your Porsche 981 Boxster personalized, then you might want to take a look at what the TECHART individualization program offers. TECHART provides a wide range of refinement options from light alloy and forged wheels. It offers exclusive exterior and interior styling packages via the customized and handmade TECHART interior work.

Porsche Boxster’s appearance is made even sportier with the 21-inch original TECHART wheels. TECHART offers outstanding quality and design whether it’s referring to the classically purist five spoke design of the TECHART Formula light alloy wheels or the dynamic double spoke design of the Formula III forged wheels.

Your car can be unique when it’s equipped with the TECHART wheel design in combination with the TECHART twin tailpipes made of polished stainless steel in a classic rounded design and the individually colored exterior packages.

Boxster features a strong and sporty sound from its TECHART sound muffler or the TECHART sport exhaust system with valve to offer acoustic support. For the exterior, TECHART offers a sport spring kit. It will lower the front by 30 mm at the front while the rear axle of the car is lower by 20 mm.

The TECHART manufacture provides a variety of individual options that make the interior of the Porsche 981 become a very personal customization. It provides a full leather interior with decorative stitching, combined with the TECHART styling packages that perfect complement the vehicle color that sets highlights in the interior.

Your car gets sportier and has a higher quality due to some choice carbon fiber packages. The ergonomically mounted TECHART paddle shifters and the TECHART 3-spokes sports steering wheels ensure that the car can be handled precisely. These also enable simple and fast gear changes with optmium driving pleasure.

The new Porsche Boxster features a new shape that doesn’t only make it look stunning but also brings aerodynamic advantages. While the design has to incorporate a modified cooling system because of its more dynamic engine, its comes with an outstanding coefficient of drag value of 0.30 Cd. Porsche was able to lower the aerodynamic lift on both axles of the new Boxster, thereby making it more stable to drive even at high speeds.

This was achieved on the rear axle by the new rear spoiler and wrap-around separation edge, which generates more downforce than the previous design while offering less airflow resistance.

Playing a role in the new design of the new Porsche Boxster is the interaction between its forward-set flatter windscreen and its new, elongated convertible top. The new sporty top is now designed to extend to the area near the rear wheels, and its elegant shape is highlighted by a rear window that is now longer by 120 mm. The basic technical concept of the Boxster’s completely redesigned convertible top was derived from its predecessor.

Porsche, however, worked to transform the convertible top of the previous Boxster into a fully electric version. The latest development of the convertible top – as fitted on the Boxster – could be opened or closed at speeds of up to 50 km/h in just nine seconds. The deployment of the convertible top is effected through a rocker switch located in the center console. The new Porsche Boxster features no compartment lid for the convertible top, a configuration that made it look lighter.
