Tuning company VATH Automobiltechnik's latest project is the VATH E500 Coupe V50S. This new retrofitted high-performance ride is based on the current Mercedes-Benz E500 Coupe, a four-seat, two-door, coupe.
Due to the specially developed VATH efficiency package V50S that will cost 8,211 Euro, performance is raised to produce 435 horsepower and 575 Nm of maximum torque.
VATH optimized the car's software and gave it a new sport air filter and complete sport exhaust unit with sport catalysts too. The car's exterior is given custom carbon-made aerodynamic elements: front spoiler lip (1,416 Euro), rear trunk lip spoiler (1,761 Euro) and rear diffuser (1,773 Euro).
If you want your car to be unique, you can opt for an amazing set of 20-inch 3-part Smiths design alloys (8,211 Euro) wrapped in high-efficiency tires with size 245/30-20 at the front and 285/25-20 at the rear.
Drive stability and safety are just two aspects that the VATH is offering. It will have an adjustable shock-absorber (2,963 Euro), which lowers the E500's height with up to 65 mm, and a high-performance brake system (5,355 Euro) with 6-position brake calipers and 378 mm large brake disks
For its interior, the car has custom top-end cockpit ambience that's ensured by the brand's Carbon-Interior-Packet (2,737 Euro).
The design of the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe comes with a number of traditional styling elements that lend the brand’s coupes their unmistakable identity. For instance, the side windows are now fully retractable and aren’t interrupted by a B-pillar anymore. In addition, the brand’s new coupe dons a sports radiator grille with the large centrally located star. Moreover, the new E-Class Coupe boasts of an appealing contemporary design idiom.
As part of the same family, the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe looks similar to the E-Class Saloon, as evident on the 'twin-headlamp face' featuring rhomboid contours that are now sportier, more dynamic and sharper. The new E-Class Coupe and the E-Class Saloon has the same powerful contour on the rear wing, a styling cue that lent the 1955 S 220 "Ponton" Coupe its athletic looks.
Despite sharing a number of family traits with the Saloon, the new E-Class Coupe also boasts of its own, distinct identity. The entire front section -- from the front bumper to radiator to bonnet – boasts of an arrow shape. Aside from having a leaner build than the Saloon, the new E-Class Coupe also boasts of a more extreme interpretation of its twin headlamp face. Overall, the Coupe has a racier and more dynamic presence than the Saloon.
Inside, the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe comes fitted, as standard, with seats that are electrically adjustable for both seat height and backrest angle. In addition, a practical Easy-Entry function has been integrated into the high, sports car-like seat backrests to make it easier for passengers to enter that rear cabin.
Along with the optional electric seat adjustment with memory, the front seats are provided with electro-pneumatically adjustable four-way lumbar supports that could provide anatomically favorable support for the lower spine.
