Xenatec Maybach 57 S Coupe is one amazing car

Article by Christian A., on October 4, 2010

As you may know already, last summer we revealed you the fact that a German coachbuilder is preparing to amaze us with the first coupe version of the current Maybach 57. Today, the German firm released the first photos with their new masterpiece and we must admit that the car looks amazing.

Based on the Maybach 57S, the car will be built in a limited edition of just 30 units, each priced at €675,000 without taxes (in Germany the car will have a price of €800,000 with all the taxes included). Comparing it with the Maybach 57S limousine, the major changes on the car were made on B- and C-Pillar, doors, side panels, front and rear fender.

For example, the B-pillar was moved with 20 cm to the back of the car, and as a result it received new doors and side panels up to the tail lights including 20 mm more width in the rear wheelhouses.

The design is completed by the 20-inch wheels but according to the manufacturer customers can choose 21-inch wheels as an option. Furthermore, the car received new front and rear bumpers with sporty accents.

The rear of the car is completed by a new air diffuser with integrated exhaust system. Inside, the Xenatec Coupe can accommodate four persons and it is available with an optional glass roof.

The interior features the same quality as the sedan. Athough the manufacturer did not release any official specs, we do know that the Maybach 57S is powered by a V12 engine delivering 630 hp and 368 g/km CO2 emissions.

The car delivers a fuel consumption of 15 l/100 km or 15.68 mpg. [source Autoblog.nl via ClassicDriver]
